About Me
Born the 4th of 5 girls in 6 years into a Sicilian family, we dressed alike, spoke alike and even looked alike.
Raised in Monterey, California, a small fishing village along the sea, we were known amongst the locals as "the dentist with all the girls". Early childhood, we were steeped in family traditions and connections which morphed over time. Our Sicilian family over the decades succumbed to the greater cultural trends of social mobility and increased independence.
The shifts in families across the nation, brought new social and familial challenges to the newer generations. While I watched my children and their friends grow up with less familial interconnectedness, a need arose in kids for meaningful, safe connection.
Wanting to support kids and families and rather clueless how, I returned to school in my late 30's finishing in my early 40's. With a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, I felt better equipped to help families navigate some of life's obstacles and make meaningful, life giving connections.
In order to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, I left a career in International Business Development to become an Angel Investor and on to a therapist- some say I am confused, I say I am well rounded!!
While becoming well rounded, I never lost my first passion-writing; but not just writing. Writing in order to inspire others to read and digest the Word of God. As I look forward to the final decades of my life, I desire to inspire people to do three things:
Come to know Jesus through reading the scriptures and experience Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Equip people with communication skills to better connect with one another.
Inspire people to live their best lives of obedience and blessing which comes through faith and knowledge.
As a Connection Coach, I work to motivate, move and mentor people to connect.
